Technical Assistance for Program Effectiveness (TAPE) Collaborative

Bridge Matrix

Background
This Bridge Matrix is one of the deliverables created through the Technical Assistance for Program Effectiveness (TAPE) Project. This project involves the collaboration of the before and after school program Regional Leads from Regions 3, 5, 10, and 11. The goal of this project is to increase the effectiveness of service delivery provided by the Regional Leads. The TAPE Project has been funded through the After School Assistance Providers Connect (ASAPConnect) grant with support from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

Purpose
The TAPE Project Bridge Matrix is based on a review of the wide range of documents [e.g., evaluation tools, legislation, Request for Applications (RFAs)] identified by the as currently relevant to the After School Education and Safety (ASES), 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC), and After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) before and after school state and federally funded programs, which serve preK-12 students and their families. This matrix provides important information about the alignment across the diverse tools and documents and is primarily designed for use by Regional Leads and other technical assistance providers. Please contact the before and after school program Regional Lead serving your region for additional information and answers to questions about the use of the Bridge Matrix. Contact information for California's Regional Leads is provided in the California Department of Education (CDE) Regional Technical Assistance Contact Web page at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/ba/cp/regntwrkcontacts.asp.
